Inbound Routes

This creates the inbound route for any number that is assigned to the system. Byphone have already set your system up with an initial inbound number. If you need additional numbers (DDI's) you can order them directly from Byphone, who will then point these new numbers at the system. You use this inbound management tool to direct where the number calls once it has been allocated to the system.

How to create an inbound route

Go to Favourites

Go to Inbound Routes

Click Add Inbound Route

Under the General tab:

In the Description field add a description for the new telephone number.

In the DID Number field enter the telephone number assigned to you.

In the CallerID Number field enter the caller id for the above number - normally the same as the above number.

In the Alert Info field enter "alert-external" if it is not already populated.

In the Set Destination field - select your destination this could be an extension, ring group etc.

In the Email Address field - enter the email address you want the voicemail to copy to if applicable.

Click on the Submit Information button at the bottom right of the page.

Click on the Apply Config button at the top right of the page.
