Quick Start Tutorial
Our aim with this guide is to help you modify a few settings on the phone system so that you can see how it works. It’s a powerful complex system that is worth spending a bit of time to see how it works. In the tutorial we cover the main system functions and how you might set them up.
System Logic
The system creates a series of modules / stages that you manage. A number is assigned to the system (by us). This number then flows through to a Holiday and Time condition module. This module handles the call a certain way during working hours and then uses a different plan “out of hours”. During office hours (as you defined) the system calls a ring group or series of ring groups. These ring groups are just a collection of users that share an inbound call in some way. Users and their various extensions are then assigned to these ring groups. You could have just one user (like a receptionist) in a ring group. If a user does not answer an inbound call they will not be part of a ring group. They will still be part of the system and make and receive inbound calls, they are just outside the inbound call management plan.
